Yvonne Ofosu-Appiah is the founder and Managing Partner of She Sahara Investment Partners. Yvonne is an astute and experienced SME investor and financial services professional based in Ghana. Her experience spans 16+ years working within the capital market industry in Ghana with projects exposure to other countries in Sub Saharan Africa, 10 years working in PE/VC. She has worked with multinational banks supporting the compliance functions and has been involved in building three investment companies from the scratch where she managed investments funds and led several corporate finance transactions for SMEs. Notably, she has been involved in the prelaunch phase of two Ghanaian focused private equity and venture capital funds dedicated to financing SMEs using debt and equity. Prior to She Sahara, she was the Chief Investment Officer of Wangara Green Ventures, a blended finance climate focused fund in Ghana where she led the investment team and process in building a portfolio of 6 climate resilient SMEs, 3 follow on and 3 partial exits. She has been deploying capital to female entrepreneurs within food systems, as an angel investor since 2019. Yvonne holds an MBA (Finance) (Uni of Cambridge, Judge UK), Cert. in Impact Measurement (Uni of Oxford, Said UK), Cert. in Company Direction (Inst. of Dir, UK), ANDE Investment Manager Training Certificate and is a Candidate for CFA Level 3 exams. She is a Board member for private and public institutions in Ghana.
