Ghana’s agricultural sector remains highly fragmented, with farmers facing limited access to credit, inefficient distribution systems, inadequate storage infrastructure, and unreliable market linkages, contributing to low productivity, post-harvest losses, and reduced incomes. Wami Agro addresses these challenges through an integrated, technology-enabled business model that connects farmers, input suppliers, aggregators, and institutional buyers.
Through its WamiCredit, WamiMarket, and WamiInfo platforms, the company facilitates input financing, commodity aggregation, market access, and agricultural information services. With a network of approximately 60,000 smallholder farmers, over 60% of whom are women, Wami Agro is building a more inclusive, efficient, and commercially sustainable agricultural ecosystem that improves farmer livelihoods and strengthens food supply chains.
